Herringbone pattern in all its beauty

In this beautiful and spacious apartment on the Slovenian coast, we installed a parquet floor in herringbone pattern. Large windows provide a gentle influx of natural light, which allows the parquet to shine in its most beautiful shades.

We installed a larger parquet blocks in this room because the room is large enough to elegantly show off the herringbone pattern. For smaller rooms, we recommend smaller parquet blocks, as this is the only way to better show off the powerful herringbone pattern.

In itself, the herringbone pattern is a symbol of elegance and luxury. It gives the room a new dimension and complexity, which ensures that the parquet definitely will not go unnoticed.

The direction of laying the pattern is also an important factor. In this case, the parquet was laid in the direction of the window and parallel to the shorter wall of the room. This makes the room visually wider, and the direction of the pattern gives a view of the large panoramic windows and the sea.

Besides the classic Herringbone pattern, we also know the Chevron pattern.

What is the difference between these two patterns?

Classic Herringbone pattern: the parquet blocks are laid at an angle of 90 degrees.
French herringbone pattern (Chevron): the parquet blocks are laid at an angle of 45 or 60 degrees.
